A consortium meeting of the European project “Entrepreneurial Skills for Social Scientists”, was financed by the EU in the framework of the Erasmus+ program, was successfully held at the premises of the Hellenic Mediterranean University in Heraklion, Crete, between September 17-19, 2023. The project is coordinated by the Department of Social Work of Frederik University Cyprus. LaHeRS Lab of the Hellenic Mediterranean University is one of the partners together with universities and other enterprises from Lithuania, Bosnia and Spain. The project aims at identifying the educational needs of social scientists in the field of social entrepreneurship, develop a training program and culturally appropriate tools to train professionals in the specific field and make them competent to enter the labor market.
At the meeting, the consortium discussed the results of a European survey carried out as part of the project tasks with the aim to identify the training needs of the participants. Among others, the project partners set the basis for the design of educational material and scheduled an educational program to be implemented in the next stages of the project.
