The director of LaHeRS Laboratory Dr. Maria Papadakaki participated in the 11th European Conference #EUSafety2023, co-organized by Eurosafe and ICE-SAR on October 5-6 in Reykjavik, Iceland. She represented the Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion Section of the European Public Health Association (EUPHA). During the conference, new injury data were presented by the European IDB network. Injury epidemiology and evidence-based methods of data collection and analysis by the #IDB network were the focus of the discussion. The Icelandic Association for Search, Rescue and Injury Prevention (ice-sar), presented its expanded role in accident prevention and discussed rescue operations in Iceland. The dialogue on injury prevention and safety promotion in Europe will continue at the 16th European Public Health Congress 2023 #EPH2023, between 8 and 11 November 2023 in Dublin, Ireland. #EUPHAatEPH2023
